HAECO’s Vector Light seats get FAA certification; Q4 delivery targeted

HAECO Americas’ interiors unit, HAECO Cabin Solutions, has clinched the US Federal Aviation Administration’s (FAA) certification for its Vector Light narrowbody seat.

The FAA’s Technical Standard Order certification for the Vector Light seat also paves the way for deliveries to commence in the last quarter of the year.

It follows similar certification for the Vector Premium business class seat in 2018, as well as the Vector Economy in 2016.

Designed for economy class, the Vector Light, the third and newest variant of the Vector seat family, weighs about 7.9kg per seat when fully-equipped. Materials used include titanium and body-contouring carbon-fibre.

HAECO Cabin Solutions states that the “design-forward seat maximises available cabin space and enhances passenger comfort through a comprehensive ergonomic approach and offers industry-leading living space at a narrow pitch”.

HAECO Cabin Solutions president Doug Rasmussen adds: “Vector Light…has achieved significant weight savings, best-in-class passenger comfort and low cost of ownership without compromising on the quality and reliability, which define our Vector seating line.”
